Casino is one of those classic Martin Scorsese movies that probably doesn’t get the credit it deserves these days, mainly because it was released way back in 1995, but also because Scorsese and Robert De Niro have produced so many other great films together over the years.
If you’ve not seen Casino, make sure you don’t overlook this Scorsese/De Niro gem. Looking back on it now, there are a few Robert De Niro Casino Sunglasses to spot in the movie. The film is set over a number of years, giving his character Sam ‘Ace’ Rothstein the chance to try a few different styles of vintage-looking sunglasses throughout.
Robert De Niro Wearing Ultra-Goliath II Sunglasses in Casino
Given the age of the movie, it may be quite difficult to find these today, but one of the main sunglasses frames that Robert De Niro wears in Casino are the Ultra Goliath II Sunglasses. If you’re lucky enough to find a pair available today, these will likely set you back around $450-$500 for the genuine article.
It could be worth having a look around places like Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk, you might get lucky, or perhaps you can find a close lookalike. Or you may still find a rare pair of Ultra Goliath II sunglasses on eBay.
After many hours of research, I did manage to find a very expensive replica pair of De Niro Casino sunglasses on the Replica Prop Store here.
More De Niro Casino Sunglasses
De Niro is also seen wearing these rounded aviator-style sunglasses in Casino. These have been reported as being Carrera 5425 Sunglasses, but again, due to the age of the film, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get hold of these today.
