Kimi Raikkonen was back to his winning best again – at long last – in Austin Texas for the 2018 US GP. It was a win that was long overdue at over 100 races, with his last win coming way back at the Australian GP five years ago.
Kimi was by far one of the most popular drivers on the F1 grid throughout his career and it was a win that everyone was glad to see as he beat Lewis Hamilton in a straight fight and fought off a hard-charging Max Verstappen who started the race in 18th position and managed to finish in 2nd place!
What Sunglasses was Kimi Raikkonen Wearing?
But, what were the sunglasses that Kimi Raikkonen was wearing at the 2018 US Grand Prix? Read on to find out below.
Kimi is well known for setting his own rules around the F1 paddock, including not removing his sunglasses during interviews. This time he went one further by continuing to wear his Ray-Ban’s on the podium too! Fair play to him, the fact that he doesn’t really conform to normal F1 media standards is part of what makes him appeal to the masses.
Limited Edition Ray-Ban Scuderia Ferrari RB4309M Sunglasses as Worn by Kimi Raikkonen
These Ray-Ban RB4309M sunglasses are part of the limited edition Scuderia Ferrari Collection produced for the Ferrari F1 team and worn by the Ferrari F1 drivers at the time – Kimi and Sebastian Vettel.
These are strong and lightweight sunglasses that feature the Ray-Ban print on the right lens and an etched Ferrari logo of the prancing horse on the left lens which is a really nice finish.
The long-lasting steel and rubber temples provide comfort and durability with the Ferrari shield featured prominently on the temples.
These limited edition Ray-Ban RB4309M Sunglasses will be hard to find now but if you want to look as cool as The Ice Man Kimi Raikkonen on the winning step of the F1 podium at the US Grand Prix, I did manage to still find a pair in an alternate colour on Amazon here.
Alternatively, you can find the Ray-Ban Scuderia Ferrari Sunglasses Collection on Amazon here.
