The Dark Knight Rises – Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon Poster |
It’s here at last – The Dark Knight Rises was released in the Summer of 2012 as one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year – yes, even in a year that also saw the release of Mavel’s Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man re-boot.
Gary Oldman – Commissioner James Gordon
The Dark Knight Rises may be set 8 years after the events of The Dark Knight, but Gary Oldman’s Commissioner Jim Gordon apparently hasn’t felt the need to change his glasses during this time. He is apparently very comfortable wearing the same plastic rimmed frames he was wearing almost a decade earlier in the second movie. Either he’s looked after the tough old things or he just keeps replacing them with the same model after every eye test.

Kirk Originals – Loi
The glasses worn by Gary Oldman in The Dark Knight Rises are apparently ‘Loi’ from the Sculpture Collection by Kirk Originals. The frames are acetate and acrylic material and hand made in France. They are said to be a Special Limited Edition, so if you like them, you should snap them up pretty fast.
